German gymnast Nils Dunkel takes home his Spieth parallel bars after winning gold

At the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Leipzig, Germany, which took place from May 26 to 31 and were equipped by our company Spieth, Nils Dunkel, who trains at the National Training Center in the city of Halle a.d.S., claimed the gold medal on the parallel bars in front of his home crowd.

After the competition, and with the support of his sponsors, he retrieved the very bars he competed on so he could continue training on the apparatus that helped him secure the title. He then brought them back to his club at the National Training Center in Halle a.d.S.

This gesture reflects Nils Dunkel’s attachment to the apparatus that carried him to victory. By taking the bars home, he brings with him a piece of his journey and the emotions of the competition. For Spieth, it is also a meaningful symbol of the bond that forms with gymnasts, close to their defining moments.
