Janssen-Fritsen official partner of the Netherlands Basketball Federation (NBB via Schelde)
Janssen-Fritsen has announced the signing of a five-year strategic partnership with the Netherlands Basketball Federation (NBB), becoming its official partner.
A context of strong basketball growth in the Netherlands
Basketball is experiencing steady growth in the Netherlands, driven in particular by younger generations and urban formats such as 3x3, a variant played three-a-side on a half-court. This momentum is creating an increasing need for suitable infrastructure to meet rising demand.
In this context, Janssen-Fritsen, the NBB and Schelde Sports, a brand of the ABEO Group and an international leader in basketball equipment, are combining their expertise to support the development of the sport. The partnership aims to modernise sports infrastructure and support Dutch basketball, notably through the creation and renovation of playing areas in schools, clubs and public spaces.
An ambition focused on inclusion and visibility in basketball
This collaboration encourages participation at all levels, supporting local initiatives, training and grassroots activities. Particular attention is given to inclusion, especially women’s basketball, wheelchair basketball and 3x3.
This commitment illustrates the desire of Janssen-Fritsen and the ABEO Group to actively contribute to the development of the sport by creating sustainable, high-performance and accessible playing environments, while also enhancing the visibility of basketball in the Netherlands through on-the-ground actions and events.
