Hurricane Group within ABEO: A Shared Vision and New Ambitions

Following Hurricane’s integration into ABEO, the two groups presented, at a press conference, the opportunities created by this partnership, which brings together Hurricane’s nearly 30 years of expertise in urban sports with ABEO’s industrial capabilities and international presence.

Founded alongside FISE in 1997, Hurricane Group has contributed to the development of urban sports through the organisation of international events, the structuring of disciplines, the design of facilities, and collaborations with sports federations and local authorities. Its integration into the ABEO group marks a new stage in the development of its activities, particularly internationally.

Events and Infrastructure: Two Key Areas for Development

The partnership with ABEO is expected to accelerate the development of two of Hurricane’s strategic and complementary pillars: Events and Infrastructure.

On the Events side, Hurricane aims to continue the international development of FISE and evolve its model into a global platform bringing together sport, culture, communities and entertainment - notably as part of the event’s 30th anniversary celebrations in 2027.

On the Infrastructure side, Hurricane PARKS intends to accelerate its international development and strengthen its involvement across the entire value chain, from equipment design to delivery and activation.

The integration of Hurricane strengthens ABEO’s expertise in urban sports by bringing together the Group’s know-how in sports equipment with Hurricane’s expertise in events and infrastructure.

Hurricane Group will retain its identity, its teams and its entrepreneurial roots. Hervé André-Benoit will remain President of Hurricane Group and will continue to lead the company’s development within ABEO.
