TeamGym is an ever growing discipline of gymnastics that is growing at an exponential rate ever since the first European Championships in 1996.

Gymnastics Federation of Slovenia (GZS) was the organizer of the 11^th European TeamGym Championships 2016. TeamGym 2016 is being prepared under the auspices of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG). This time the championship took take place between 12 and 15 October 2016 in the Sports hall of the People's Garden (Ljudski vrt) "Lukna (Hole)" in Maribor. Popularity of gymnastic branch "TeamGym", which derives from the Scandinavian countries, in Europe and in the world has been rising rapidly. We assume that after TeamGym 2016 championship this gymnastic branch in Maribor and in Slovenia will be rapidly developing too.
