A climbing wall for the disabled, why ever not ?

A climbing wall for people with disabilities might seem a contradiction of sorts to some. Yet, this is exactly what was inaugurated on 29 November in Indre-et-Loire at the Institut d'Education Motrice Charlemagne located in Ballan-Miré.

This is the only wall of its type in France. ENTRE-PRISES equipped this eight-metre high outdoor wall with 42 climbing routes and a zip line. It took 11 months to complete, so you can imagine how impatient the children were to try it out. Check out this report from Charlotte Bonnet.
